What Time Will Jiri Lehecka Play Against Luciano Darderi?
Lehecka and Darderi are on the Day 2 Schedule at Bmw Open 2025 on Tuesday 15 April 2025. Lets breakdown the career, past stats and recent form of these players and predict who will get the victory.
Who Will Win In This Head-To-Head?
Jiri Lehecka, a 23-year-old from the Czech Republic, is set to face off against Luciano Darderi of Italy. This will be their first meeting at the tour level. However, they did face each other before at the Iasi CH in Romania, where Darderi emerged victorious in a thrilling three-set match.
Lehecka, currently ranked World No. 26, achieved his career-high ranking of No. 22 in January 2024 after winning his first ATP Tour title in Adelaide. He had notable victories over top-ranked players such as No. 5 Rublev and No. 4 Medvedev on his way to reaching the semifinals of the 2023 Doha and 2024 Madrid ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, respectively. Lehecka also impressed at the 2023 Australian Open, where he defeated No. 12 Norrie and No. 7 Auger-Aliassime, reaching the quarterfinals. In 2022, he reached his first ATP Tour semifinal in Rotterdam, defeating No. 12 Shapovalov in the process. Additionally, Lehecka was the runner-up at the 2022 Next Gen ATP Finals and won the 2019 Wimbledon boys’ doubles title.
It is worth noting that this is the first time Lehecka is seeded at the ATP 500 level in his career. He previously qualified for the tournament in Munich in 2022 but lost to eventual champion Rune. If Lehecka secures a victory in Munich, he could become the first Czech player to win a match in Munich since Rosol in 2016.

Luciano Darderi, also 23 years old, hails from Italy and is currently ranked World No. 47. He made significant progress in his career, starting in 2024 as No. 128 and breaking into the top 100 in February, the top 50 in May, and achieving his career-high ranking of No. 32 in August. Darderi captured his first ATP Tour title in Cordoba, where he defeated Bagnis in the final. This was the third final between two qualifiers since the ATP Tour was established in 1990. He then went on to win his second ATP Tour title in Marrakech in 2025 by defeating Griekspoor in the final. In addition to his ATP success, Darderi has a solid record in the Challenger circuit, with 90 wins and 59 losses, including three titles.
In his junior career, Darderi peaked at No. 8 in the rankings in February 2020 after claiming three singles and three doubles titles early in the season. He was born in Argentina and started playing tennis at the age of four under the guidance of his father, Luciano Enrique, who is a former tennis player and his current coach.
Darderi is currently on a five-match winning streak after a slow start to the year, where he went 2-8. He is eager to continue this success after his recent triumph in Marrakech. Darderi has struggled against top-ranked players, with a 4-15 record against the top 30, including a 3-11 record on clay. He is seeking his first win against a top-ranked player since defeating No. 21 Tabilo at the ATP Masters 1000 Cincinnati in August.
