The Korean duo managed to secure a narrow 2-1 victory in a thrilling match that had the crowd roaring with excitement. Despite being down two games, the Chinese pair rallied back in the third set to secure a decisive victory, closing out the match with an 8-4 triumph.
Reflecting on his performance, Wang Chuqin shared his thoughts on the match, stating, “I took this Men’s Singles very seriously. He (Oh Junsung) played very well against me last time, including today. His long ball maneuvering ability is very strong, and we played a lot of exciting rallies. This time I was more prepared and understood my opponent better, and my mindset in the singles match was relatively better than before. In the Men’s Doubles, Coach Wang Hao rearranged the techniques and tactics for us in the third game, and the result was very good.”
Meanwhile, over in Hong Kong, China faced off against Germany in another nail-biting contest. In the end, it was China who emerged victorious in an end-to-end 8-5 showdown, showcasing their dominance on the world stage.
